Spring 2020 - Genesisis Referee Program - REGISTRATION CLOSES 1MARCH
Ref in Training will be held in Lancaster this spring.
It will be a 3+ hour course to include field work at the Lancaster Community Center.
Classroom will be held on 14 March 9-11:30am. Field training will be held 18 March 1:30-3:00pm.
Snow dates will be March 21 and 25.

NVYSL officiating with 2018-2019 LOTG (January 2019)
NVYSL will use the 2018-1019 LOTG for SPRING 2019. Please review the amendments for the spring, the most recognizable changes will the addition of Biting to Law XII.

CONCUSSIONS - POLICY ( March 2017)
If the referee believes a player may have sustained a concussion, the player will be told to leave the match and may not return to play. Players, coaches and parents must NOT dispute the decision! NVYSL referees have received concussion education and have been instructed to err on the side of caution. Concussions may occur even without a direct blow to the head and symptoms may not be immediately apparent. You can review the concussion training at the following:
NVYSL Grade 5/6 and lower games, heading will result in an IDFK.

This is the method the NVYSL wants to adopt to help referees deal with poor conduct by coaches.
The display of cards is only for the players.
However, as a last resort you may display cards if you feel your message to the coach has not been fully understood.
